In this mini-movie, I could see an ant…one of those worker ants, under the ground being busy moving sand around from one place to another place. It looked tedious, boring, routine, and dull.
In the next image, I saw this worker ant was now above ground, and had set a course to explore, breaking free of the underground tedium and moving onto an adventure of learning and exploration.
But in the next vignette, I could now see another ant pile not far from the first ant pile. I then saw this ant had some how got sucked into the fray and was now once again under the ground, moving little bits of sand from one place to another place under the ground. A new ant pile, new worker ants, but a similar scenario as the former ant pile.
In that momentary visual of seeing two different ant hills (work and school) having similar scenarios of being expected to have everyone work the same way, I had become aware I had fallen into that familiar trap of accepting the status quo and following the rules. I had put aside my original goal of learning more about energy and had replaced it with the tasks of completing someone else’s checklist. I had become like the worker ant and in the process had put aside my goals in order to complete the assignments.
In that moment, I made a conscious decision to no longer care about tests and homework, but to focus on the journey of discovering and learning the things I desired to learn about. At that moment, I got above the ground and could once again breathe.
When I was younger I would probably have struggled with these feelings and analyzed pros and cons for weeks or even months, but now, in a matter of a couple of minutes, I was able to see what was going on, make a decision, and change my course.
The difference in processing information, resetting and refining my life path is, in part, from being better at trusting my feelings as well as being better at receiving messages and guidance.
As you learn to trust your feelings, trust your impressions, and tune into spiritual messages, decisions can get easier. Being aware of what your life purpose is and what life path you desire also makes it easier to keep on course.
